Instrument Cluster

I have a new looking cluster from a CLS55, it looks exactly like the one in my E55, but black with white letters. I like the look, and my old cluster is dimming and yellowing at night. Has anyone swapped these? I know it will need programming, that's not an issue. The clusters look identical in every way next to each other, again accept for the face color. thanks

You can swap the boards, no problem. No need to code it either. The board contains the VIN and miles info.

Swap the boards? That is the PCB I have seen other's mention in different threads? thanks

Yes, there is a board in the cluster. It has a red connector on it. it is removable and can be swapped as long as it's exactly the same as far as speedo and rpm. If you are a 160 cluster going to 200, you will have issues with speed and rpms reporting properly.
