I have 2 2005 mercedes sl55 e320 cdi both have distronic.sl55 works perfect always cdi external interference all the time after a few min.anyone have an idea?yes i cleaned the radar transmitter.and the window.please dont give moron answers

You may find something helpful if you connect the E320 to MB Star/DAS diagnostic tool to see if there are any faults related to the distronic system and the testing processes provided.

My ‘04 e55 always gets the external interference as well. Interested to see if you figure out the issue as I was under the impression that it’s normal and due to newer cars radar interfering with it.

If you can swap the transmitters between the two cars and the SL version actually works with the E Class, you may have found the solution to your porblem and for others that are suffering from similar performance on their E Class cars. There's a bunch of those used R230 transmitters on eBay.
