P0730 and whining, transmission related
I got a P0730, incorrect gear ratio
Symptoms:
Leading up to it it would stutter around 60-70mph when I press on the pedal more than halfway. I thought it was my supercharger not engaging (it's on its way out) but... I was driving over a bridge and it completely just disengaged, revved up all the way and the problems started. I crawled my car home after letting it cool down.
So far I've tried checking and adjusting the fluid- no change. I reset adaptations and CEL, took it for a drive- 10 minutes later same issue. Whines and won't engage fully.
Next on my list is to drain the fluid and replace the filter and check for shavings, I just put this transmission in 3 weeks ago (it was used) but maybe there is some crap in it as it's been sitting idle for over a year.
I have DAS, what can I try to test it?
I have a spare conductor plate I can try swapping but I doubt that's what it is. Some people pointed out the pump might be on it's way out... I want to see if there is anything I can do to diagnose it ahead of time before I buy parts and drop it again.
Side note: Can someone drop some knowledge on how I can find a new torque converter for it? What numbers can I look at? Junkyard said it's from an SL55, mechanic said torque converter is special-- I really wanted to replace it but we went ahead an installed it as is. Now problems... same symptoms as the previous transmission too.

Had to rebuild the transmission, pump and converter were trashed.
