2006 e55

I found a 2006 e55 with only 6500 miles on it. What do you think the value should be?

6,500 miles? It's worth what someone would pay. I would sell it at auction.

Wow, that is super low miles. Are you buying it?

I considering it and a 2009 c63 with only 2700 miles on it. I really don’t need either but good low mileage cars are what I collect. Last June I picked up a 2008 CLK63 Black Series with only 1600 miles on it.

I've seen "low miles" examples go for around $30k recently, but none with miles that low.

The e55 they are asking $49,000 and the c63 they are asking $43,900. I think both are priced a bit too high. But what they are asking and what they will sell for are two different things.

How do you find them with such low miles? And where?

They are priced a bit on the high side. I’m sure there is wiggle room there. The E55 is probably worth 30-35 max.

Beautiful CLK63 my friend.

There was some fellow member on here a while back that has 2 of them. That’s why I asked if it was white.

Congratulations on your SL. My 2005 SL55 is my all time favorite car. It now has 10300 miles on it and has never been driven in the rain. I’m sure you will enjoy your SL.

Gene,
I wish mine was a 55 but I fell into mine. Wasn't looking for an SL, was actually looking for a new SLC for the wife. I like the front end and the styling of the earlier 230 SL series like yours and mine. The later SL's aren't as sleek. My 02.

I just picked up a 2005 E55 with only 70,000km for $34k Australian or $26k USD. This car needed a suspension change which I did with the Arnott's I had already on my previous E55 with the blown engine. I don't think the suspensions wear out because of mileage, they start to leak with time. I would budget for that in any Airmatic car over 10 years old and also ABC SL55s. I speak from experience with both.

The only issue with low mil cars is the rubber bits and things that need lubrication. Unless i was going to park it and stare at it as a collectors item I would go for something with some miles and service history.

$49k is high as others have mentioned; maybe more like $35-38k; but he has the advantage of such low miles unheard of for an E55. Please report back if you get it.
