Adding extra button?

Has anyone added, or is there a way to add a stock button to places inside the interior that currently have blanks? I would like to add a button for cutouts, but would like it to blend in. I know different cars are outfitted with different options, but I have a blank under my rear shade button, and a blank next to the airmatic buttons below the shifter.

Anyone know if these buttons are available somehow?

The button bar bank group under the radio does not show any optional buttons in the three blanks that are under the rear window shade, rear head rest lowering, or the ESP. Those are rocker - not indivdual switches. You may have to take it apart to see if there is any way to add an additional switch to the bank. The blank button next to the right of the center located air suspension switches is for the Parktronic, so you should be able to find that switch. All buttons are made and sold together as one group so you will need to buy the one that has the extra button included - new or salvage yard. Used they should go for about $50US. Good luck.

Program the cutouts remote to the homelink buttons on the Rear view mirror. We did that with our GL63 and will do so if I ever reach boredom and lack of new parts to add to the E.

That’s pretty slick, I’ll consider that, thanks.

Possible to modify the center under radio buttons

Hello, I'm updating this here for anyone who's gonna run into this problem in the future. I wanted to add the rear headrest fold button to my button cluster from a wagon model. the motherboards and rubber buttons for these seem to be the uniform, with places for each button, and you can take individual buttons on and off, though it is kinda difficult to take the panel firstly off of the cd changer, then it is also difficult to take the buttons themselves off, with the seat heater buttons being the easiest. I've yet to see if just having the button clicking will do, or if the boards come programmed. I dont think adding custom buttons for options which arent OEM would be easily possible at all, but adding OEM ones seems to be pretty straightforward, although I will update this thread once again after I test it's functionality.
