my low pressure ac hose seems to have a leak seeing the fluid pooled up on top of the sleeve in the pic, and the hose itself going down to the compressor (I believe) is wet too. How bad or easy of a job is this DIY? I’ve never done this task.
Is the A/C still cooling properly? Do you have some soap bubble leak testing to put on that union to make sure it is actually leaking from the A/C system? Has anyone put refrigerant in the system that had a dye leak tracer? If so, a black light would show it if that was what has been leaked. Oily stuff can come from many sources. I would do some more testing to confirm the line is a problem before replacing it, Good luck.
