2006 E55 AMG Wagon. When headlights are turned off, both license-plate lights often stay on. Present cures are 1) re-start the engine then shut it off again, or 2) turn off the lights before turning off the engine. Have been unable to find any bad wiring connections.

A more recent problem is that the tailgate closes electrically only about halfway, then I have to push it down manually. I know, first-world problem and all that, but I'd like it to work right.
