I could not possibly agree more on how car culture has suffered from social media.
I'm into my cars only for the cars themselves. They make me happy, I love looking at them, feeling the thrust push me forward, the exhaust and supercharger whine, and then the weirdness of how they're made. The entire world could drop dead and I would love my cars exactly the same. It's completely beyond me that anyone on earth would be "into cars" or own a car simply for the clout chase of being able to flex that they have it. As far as I'm concerned, that's a clinical symptom of a pathology for which professional help and medicine should be considered.
