Suspension Woes
Hi Guys. My e55 rear went to the ground. It was parked outside in very cold weather. I started the car, hear the compressor turning on but it wouldn't raise the back. The fronts were fine. I tried for one week straight by starting the car and nothing. So I ordered a new compressor and air valve block.
Today I pulled it into the garage to changed the parts. I removed the wheel liner and inspected the pump. After about 15-20 min, I decided to start the car. All of the sudden the car rose up. I was so happy.
Now, I sprayed soapy water and saw a small leak from the air fitting on the compressor. Its on the driveway now at perfect level and holding. What do you think the problem could be? I know the car being in a warm garage had to do with it but what? Is there a valve sticking in the extreme cold? Front shocks, rear shocks and bags have all been changed somewhat recently.
Any help would be appreciated

There is however a white filter (dryer) that is on the compressor, they do require replacement from time to time. It could however get moisture in the line, thereby freezing up in cold however, that could explain why no air was getting back to your rear bags.
Also, if your air lines are leaking then replace the air line fittings. Since, you’ve already stated that all other suspension components have recently been replaced.
