Are W211 parts interchangeable for LH Drive and RH Drive?

I am looking to order a fuel pump system from FPCEuro (See:This). However my W211 is a Japanese import (I am in NZ) where driver side is on the right. I am assuming FCPEuro's parts are catered towards the standard US layout where driver side is on the left. The fuel system has a pump on the passenger side and sender unit on the driver side and I am wondering if ordering from FCPEuro would fit my car.

Cheers

It is all the same. Pumps on the right, filter and sender on the left. The main areas to watch are anything related to steering and things that have to clear steering or air conditioning components, headers, pedals, wiper blades etc. The charcoal filter for the cabin is also a mirror image and doesn't seal properly when the US version is used.

I don't know if the E500 is the same but the E55 has different versions of the pump, partial zero emissions and non partial zero emissions. It has been a while but the sender unit top should provide the answer, remove the back seat base and inspection cover to have a look.

As above 90% of the car uses the same components, steering rack, dash pad and some dash plastics, the pedal box and heater box components will be different, wipers will wipe a different way, headlights may have different reflectors to suit which side of the road, cant really think of much more that will be different.

I would still check part numbers to make sure, as they do have different variants in the models that you may not get in another country.

@Caranas06 Your VIN is the final determination as to what parts work on your car. The MB parts catalog will provide the specific parts for your specific car. Once you know what MB says your car needs, then you can compare that to what is generally available and see if it is the same item. Be aware though there are times in which one part with a different part number will look the same. Don't get distracted by what may look the same. FCPEuro can confirm with your VIN the correct parts for your car. Good luck.
