Rear diff info
For those that want to change out there rear differential gears to 3.06 ratio the Jeep Cherokee 2010-2012 and Dodge Durango same years will swap over and they are all the 215mm gear set. I bought a couple diffs just to verify and will swap a set over and see how it runs.

that was one of the odd things I noticed when I first got my E55. they aren't relaxed on the highway, you'd think like most bigger V8s it lump along at 1500-1800rpm at 70-75. its really like these cars are geared to actually run to the limiter in 5th. most cars don't achieve their top speed In their top gear.

I roll race only and just need more pull in 3rd and 4rth. My data log shows me going through the traps at 5,300 rpm in 4rth so I believe 3.06's will get me there a little quicker and higher rpm. Right mow my times are around 9.4 seconds as well.

Pretty straight forward to set up gears. After a dummy set up I take it all apart, install new bearings and reasemble. But first the gears get sent to 300 Below Cryogenics for treatment along with the spider gears so should be bullet proof. Doing this treatment to used gears helps a lot since you will never get the gear pattern exact from where it was and this will prevent problems being off a little. Always did this with used gears and needed to have some rc heli parts done anyway...they charge you a flat 100.00 regardless of what you send so why not. Hope to have it done and running so I will update my times this year.
