Okay so I realized there was a gap in between the hood and my headlight housing and noticed my passenger side hood latch was kind of loose and weirdly raised, when I went to fix it back into place and closed the hood I went to pop it open and only unlatched from the driver side. How can I get the hood open?

Try pulling farther on the hood release. Use common sense but it may pop up with a firm pull. You sure something wasn't left under there?

no like I said I’m pretty sure it was the fact that I went to fix it back into place I think I didn’t realize that the latch itself was also kind of old and didn’t think to just order one beforehand. I can get to the cable to the latch through my grill but i can’t seem to pull it enough to make it work
