Question Upgrade Exhaust System

I have a cracked Cat and the stealer price is crazy. At the same time, I was looking for an upgrade to get a bit more sound and a few HP. I can’t and don’t want to go LTH and cat-less because of the pollution/emission equipment hassle every 2 years getting the car inspected and then one day I will sell it... I have read threads on this issue going back to 2012 but some product links are now dead. Sorry to start a new thread...

So - what’s everyone recommendation for:
a) new cats (Magnaflow seems well reviewed)
b) cat back exhaust system upgrade (Eisenmann seems well reviewed, as does Meisterschaft)

I have researched and have reviewed some cat-back via Google search but they sure seems expensive. So I come to the experts for an opinion before I drop $5K on my beast...

This place is a joke.
Remove the cat and have it welded.

I have always wondered about so called performance cats with 200 cell density compared to stock at 400. The former are always much smaller diameter so I can't see the benefit.
