I searched from the scan tool and this popped up so I called Mercedes and they don’t even know what this is smh. Does anyone have this problem also? Park, Drive, Reverse, Sport, Manual, Comfort indicator isn’t showing on the cluster and the ecm can’t communicate with the scan tool idk what to do. It won’t pass emissions because of this.. any help?
Did the gear indicator problem just start? The scan tool can communicate if you're able to get this code, there are often codes like this stored when batteries start to go bad. I'd start by testing your battery, and whether it needs replacement or not do an overnight un-plug to reset the ECM and see if that code returns or the instrument cluster problem goes away.

I was so happy to get the car and didn’t even notice that it didn’t show were it supposed to. My brother has an 05 e55 and he mentioned it’s not showing. The battery did somehow die when I let it sit for a week or two. I took it to Autozone for a full charge and they say the battery is good. It has been starting the car no problem. Connected Autel scanner and get P0600 serial communication link / P203E-4 code. I’ll try that overnight reset as you mentioned and comeback tomorrow. Thanks
The battery reset didn’t work and code came back on after I started the car the 2nd time. Engine runs fine and shifts fine. Battery is at 13.8-14.1 when started. It’s sitting at 12.34v as I’m doing tests with the autel mp808k. Codes

I have the same code my instrument cluster is throwing all sorts of faults it doesn't show what gear is selected and when driving the rev and mph needle is not moving
