Finally...
After months of trolling the board, I've finally gotten my E55. I initially had one on order last November, but that fell through when I couldn't get out from under on my CLK430. But now it is here!!!!!

2004 E55 Black/Charcoal (31 miles @ delivery)
Dynamic Seats
Ventilated/Heated Seats
Bixenon/Headlight Washers
Pano Roof
Rear Sunshade
TPM
Added Accessories: CL Grill / Spoiler Lip (ForMyMercedes.com)
On Order: 19" Maya STM Hyperblack wheels / Bridgestone SO3 245/275
Folks, this car is everything and more than what I imagined. The feeling of tons of reserve torque under your right foot, seating 4 people in comfort, and hauling my golf clubs can't be beat.
I almost got a Porsche C4S out of frustration on not finding the ideal E55, but I am glad I waited.

Congratulations Jon!
Great looking car...I'm kinda partial to that color combo myself...
The next challenge is waiting for that first thousand miles before really winding her out....
Welcome aboard!

Self control...aaarghhh
I've had the car since Wednesday and it is really hard to contain my urge to plant the accelerator to the floor, especially when Mr. Corvette/Ford GT/Camaro guy is giving me the "evil eye."
It's funny...I've gotten more questions on what it is. I even had a guy in a 2004 E320 ask me what it was...I think the grill and spoiler throw them off a bit...good.
The throttle response between my CLK430 and the E55 is night and day. The interior design and quality is also significantly better.
Thanks for the input from everyone on the board with regard to the choice of the E55 and the modifications that are available for the car.
