command failure
04e55 , four thousand miles; we were driving for about two hours with the sat radio and the nav screen on when the screen went blank. Hit the on and off three or four times and the screen came on again, with both radio and nav functioning well and after three or four minutes the screen went off again. We repeated this three or four more times and finally just let it stay off. After the car was turned off for two hours , it worked fine. The temperature was 100-105 outside. Anyone else?

I had a lot of Command problems initially, which were pretty much fixed by the dealer with a software upgrade. But they were mainly through the winter so I'll be crossing my fingers when the weather turns cold again to be sure it's truly fixed. In the Command manual it describes how to reset the system using the key. Should it fail again I think this procedure would get you back in business quickly.

The command shut itself off and will not turn back on for several minutes. After coming back, I lost function of my CD changer and nav. The instrument panel display shows ------. Turning system on and off and nothing happened. After 10-15 minutes everything returned by itself.
However, I lost all of my preset. My nav memeory was also gone (all of my marked and saved destination were gone).
During that time frame, the only function that i had left was the cd drive on the command and radio.
