Timing cover seals

So I'm looking at doing the two timing cover seals on my m113 k. Does anybody have a write-up? I've seen people tell me they have taken the engine out to replace these. Is there any other way?

I don't think I've ever seen a DIY write up, for something as involved as this you'd only want WIS or other factory book data on replacement, torque values etc. I'm not sure the motor has to come out for just the front seals, but if you're taking the covers off it would make sense to do chain guides etc which I know on the older engines the heads have to come off to do, so at that level of teardown it would be faster to pull the motor. Much cleaner and easier to get to everything. Plus, things like the rear main seal can be done too. Just my $0.02
