There's a lot of argument... especially with the AMG cars.
However, can a car equipped with AMG wheels and AMG body kit (i.e., sport package E500) be badged with an AMG emblem?
Let's keep an open mind also that other tuner badges are on other cars aside from AMG... Brabus, Lorinser, Carlsson, Renntech, etc. - most only have a piece or two, not a fully tuned car.
So what's the verdict? Opinions please, no hate or smarta$$ replies.

You can put one of hte aftermarket badges on as you wish. These have no criteria (unless its Dinan on bmw). I dont care about those. It's when you try to put on a badge, that stands for something else, ie an AMG badge that stands for the handbuilt engine inside, other interior and exterior appointments. You can put the badge on..its america. But I dont approve of it. I dont even have my AMG yet, and I never liked seeing people putting on badging for M or AMG kits on a 318ti or E320. THe difference is that badges for the tuned factory cars, stand for something more, and I think that most of the time people who add the badges are trying to be something they arent to other people.

The AMG body kit does not have any logos molded into them. The real AMG wheels do have logos. I think if you have the AMG sport kit (E, SLK, etc.) you could go either way. If your left side trunklid has an E500 emblem, and on the right side you put an AMG badge... at least you are not trying to pass it off as an E55.
I personally would not do it, but YMMV.

I've have the same criteria as the AMG Owners Club has....must be a "factory" AMG with AMG engine and transmission. They won't let you join with just rims and a badge
