"Euro" Command in a "US" '55
Have an '03 E55 and recently had a euro spec command system installed by a mercedes tech from Europe. The system is very cool, works perfectly and besides the NAV and TV functions, you can watch DVD's on it too! One glitch that has come up is with the "US" phone's memorized names/numbers not linking to the "Euro" command unit.
Someone said that a way had been worked out to "save" numbers directly into the command unit somehow bypassing the phones memory.
Has anyone done a similar conversion and perhaps solved this problem?

too many to list
Interesting
Where did you get the Euro version? How much was the unit and the install costs? Can you also watch tv? Do you find it distracting?
Sorry about all the questions, just hoping to do this also soon.

Euro Command answers
I don't find it distracting because I rarely watch DVD's while driving. I just don't like the factory telling me what I'm capable of doing while I drive and besides, being able to input/edit the NAV unit while under way is the best part of this conversion!
The commnad unit was $3750 USD installed. Contact steve at www.mbenznl.com for more info.
