Hi,

the front passenger door molding on my LHD 08 E63 is damaged (the chrome strip specifically).

I’m able to obtain a used unit off a pre-facelift W211 E350 in the correct colour (040 black). Will it match, or were the door moldings different for the facelift? I’m assuming the mouldings for the E63 are the same as for the rest of the E series range.

I am attaching the door pic and the possible part item (2 pages) from the MB parts catalog. I have identifiied item 380 as your subject part. Is that correct the correct part?

As you can see from the part listing there are a number of different parts depending on the serial numbers of the car. I don't know at what serial number the facelift occured but since there is a before and after it may well be the facelift cut off. Therefore if you think both your car and the donor are pre 450000 serial number then the part you have found should be correct.

I may have one in my garage I purchased a couple years back. If yours doesn't work let me know. It's for a 2006 E55 but silver.

if it’s possible to seperate the chrome strip from the plastic molding, I’d be keen to take yours off your hands. Do you think they can be easily seperated?
