2009 E63 passenger side headlamp not working, even AFTER new bulb & ballast!
The interesting thing was sometimes, it would last for 3-4 hours before going off. I would also get a "Low Beam Right" message on the center of the dash.
I figured it could be a bad bulb. Bought two new bulbs, the "D1S - Osram Xenarc 66140CBI". in the summer of 2021, I replaced the bulbs, double checked everything was nice and snug and put everything back together. After a few days with both bulbs working fine, passenger side's bulb would stop working again. But occasionally, it would be on for hours. So now, I thought it was a bad ballast.
Since the car now has nearly 160k miles, I thought it might be a good idea to replace the ballasts out anyway. So I replaced both ballasts with two new "5DC009060-00" Hella branded ones.
Both bulbs worked fine for 1 day, and at one time were on for 3 hours on a long road trip. After pulling over for a break, passenger's side xenon bulb stopped working, again! This time, it won't even turn on even for a few minutes. I managed to snag an entire bi-xenon front right headlamp unit, but even after putting that in, lamp still wouldn't work.
I've no idea what the hell could be going on here, as both bulbs and ballasts are brand new. Could it be a connector issue or some kind of fuse?
