Better to let the $15 valve stems go than get shot over stupid *****. But since you could tell these kids were scared cuz they ran like hell, you made the right choice by teaching them a lesson.

Im glad it worked out for you. Sounds like you were lucky.Those kids could of had a gun and its not worth your life going after valve caps. My cousin used to be in the b.n.g. and lvm gangs in S.F. and they would of shot first without thinking. They were phrakin crazy!!! Keep in mind it sometimes not them that goes after you but the big brother or friend after the incident is reported to them. And if they remember you car then you become a target without even knowing it.Plus if you did do something to them you would have been sued!It sounds crappy but some kids out there know this and purposely will taunt you!Confucius says don't let anger cloud your judgement grasshopper.

I guess I was caught up in the moment and I made a calculated risk in going after them...I just saw 3 kids sucking on cups of frozen slushes from the movieplex goofing around a couple of cars...they didn't drive...they were in t-shirts and jeans...and they weren't part of larger crowd I could see.
My impulse factor may have decreased given other factors.
