AMG what does it stand for?
It was Hans-Werner Aufrecht (A) and Erhard Melcher (M) who founded AMG in 1967. The city of Grossaspach (G), the birth place of Aufrecht served as the letter G. The city in which AMG was founded was actually Burgstall an der Murr and in 1976 the company moved to Affalterbach (located just a little north of Stuttgart, Germany) where it still is today.
and poor BMW must have only had one engineer to build their M cars

I'm happy you like your car and are excited, but seriously its all been covered. So please, Stfu and search before starting your pointless threads, or go post in the thread made just for you.

I AM discussing the history of AMG, sure it may not be related to races in Mexico, or the size of your crank pulley - but there's a lot more to these cars than street racing...

I love how members always assume things without the facts. Maybe there should have been moderator post to inform that he merged Toadsters thread to this but its not required.
