I have a beautiful e55 AMG that I imported from Canada (I know what you are thinking, but it has no rust as it was not driven during the winter). The import company did a terrible job with the gauge cluster. Just did an overlay that looks bad (see below).
Because the car was originally in KMH I am afraid that I cannot buy a new cluster and do a board swap from my cluster to the new cluster as the MPH will not line up with KMH (160 kmh is straight up on the gauge, which is 99.4 mph).
My question is, can I buy a new cluster and do a board swap and have the MPH reading be correct? If not, how do I reprogram the new cluster to work with my car. I know MBenzNL seems to be the board member in the know on gauge clusters, but I cannot PM him directly. Any help is appreciated.
