E55 lost acceleration.
Hey Guys, I picked up my E55 on Sunday and haven't driven it much as it's going into workshop tomorrow to get a few things done to it.
I took it for a short drive today and on way home, less than 5min drive it lost acceleration. I went to accelerate and it wouldn't go past 30kmh. I stopped and re-started the car and it seemed to be ok, but wonder what might have caused it to just go dead.
No fault codes were thrown at all.
TIA

Did you pull codes with a Mercedes scanner like STAR or a Carsoft MBII? If you just scanned with a generic OBDII it often won't give you anything, it takes multiple failure times to set it in the OBD memory. I'd scan the TCU as well, make sure you aren't having conductor plate problems etc.
Beyond scanning the computers, I'd double check things like the fuel pump relay in the trunk (passenger side behind the side covering) to make sure it's not melting, make sure the IC pump is working, test the batteries etc.
Best of luck!
