Some sort of pop off valve?? Either way I welded mine closed as I saw no reason for it.

I believe that’s the evap port for the fuel tank valve. I just put a c32 back together and if I recall this has an aluminum line that runs to the drivers side and goes to the evap solenoid valve. The only other port on the c32 was for the brake booster, and the W211 doesn’t have that because it has SBC and I believe that port is on the passenger side.
these are quick connect fittings push and release and push in for installation.

Its for the brake booster if you dont have the SBC system. You can swap it out with another Mercedes piece (rubber bung for windshield), but I dont have the site/partnr here with me. I can post it later when I get home.
