Nice ones end up on Bring-a-Trailer from time to time. Do entire country searches on AutoTrader, Cars.com and the other main sites. The car is out there but you have to update your searches on a daily basis and be very, very patient. I have looked for over a year to find certain cars and it has always paid off in the end (twice now). Like you, I am on the east coast and I have bought cars from the west coast. Good luck.
