AMG Tire Pressure..

When you open your door. What is the recommended tire pressure for your standard AMG wheels?

I just bought a set for my E500 and am wondering what pressure to put them at.

Any recommendations considering my front end weighs less?

It states 35 PSI inside the door or that is what you recommend?

Hard to believe that the inside of the W211 E55 door sticker has 34 or 35 psi recommended tire pressure? Three responses and all say 34 or 35 psi?

My W210 E55 is 41 front and 48 rear per the lable inside the door.

Wow. That really sounds high. My 2005 indicates 35 all around.

The only difference in the W210 and W211 is the rear OEM tire size.

W210 - 275/35/18
W211 - 265/35/18

The label inside the door say one thing, the label in the fuel filler door says something else. I use 38 front and 35 rear on my W210 E55 and it seems to like it. The pressures on the fuel door are too low, it squirms around at those pressures.
Play with it and see what works. cte430 has the idea.

tire pressure

i happened to put in 42 front and 37 rear, inadvertently , and found the handling crisper, although a bit more twitchy. Tire rack says that pressure will probably cause increase center wear, but isn't harmful or dangerous in anyway.

That's about what I've been running on original Pilot Sports and have 19,000 miles on them - just bought PS 2's to replace.

I didn't see any particular wear at center.

I had put them to 35 and 35 on both last night..

I had the Appearance package wheels which are 17 inch and they were at 30 and 32.

The new ride is A LOT harder. It now seems my comfort setting is the old Sport 2 setting.

I really liked the plushness of the old comfort setting.

Would putting these down to a lower pressure cause problems?

(Please remember I do not know that much about tires and tire pressures..)

Thanks guys..

According to Luke (Tire Rack) 42 front 36 rear - a significant improvement - see thread in the Tire Rack forum.
