Headed to San Fran and San Jose today until next tuesday (20th) and then to LA (staying in Diamond Bar area) until the 24th...Anybody know of good golf courses that take walk-ups in either area?

I'm playing at Presidio and Harding in San Fran...my buddy has setup two other courses in San Jose (one is Cinibar???something).

Within 10 miles of Diamond Bar there are few golf courses that you can
probably walk on. There is Cayote Hills and Black Gold, just south of Diamond Bar. There's Industry Hills (2 courses) just to the west. And there's a public
course in Diamond Bar. (Diamond Bar). I think the green fees are about $75.00 except for Diamond Bar which is about $40.00.

FrankW...You going to the meet? Still in San Jose...just played @ a muni called Santa Teresa GC...not bad, but $51 to WALK...I'm spoiled by Florida green fees!!!!

Flew into SF and drove on 280S to San Jose...in a Chrysler Town&Country minivan...my first exotic I saw was a red Lotus Esprit Turbo (but with some ugly GOLD rims) on 280...saw a CLK55 up on 101N...not bad...less girly looking than the non-AMG CLK.

Just played Cinibar Hills and The Ranch in San Jose...BEAUTIFUL courses and in great shape...if you want elevation changes, then you will love these two courses (I mean 150 to 200 yds difference in elevation)...bent grass greens were FAST...
