Installed BC Racing Coilovers need help

Hi everyone, so i went and installed the BC Racing Coilovers on my 04 E55. Had to go back to get it re tightened meaning all the nuts and bolts. The clunk comes back after a day or so of driving. Seems like atleast from the front its the top hat. It only clunks at low speeds over small bumps or dips and nothing while turning. Has anyone ran into this issue and is there something that can be done, I dont see everyone who installs these having this issue and this was installed by a reputable shop thats done several.

I’m having the same issue! I thought it could be my control arms. I’m going to get a full diagnostic at the end of the month. I’ll get back with you, hopefully soon

It ended up being the rears, the fronts dont need preload to be installed. The rears for sure do and they need to have a 7-10mm preload atleast thats what bc said. Its my rears that are moving around badly. As well the fronts the nut was tightened so much one of the drivers side front nuts snapped off taking the bolt with it, the top shock tower. Too bad the fronts weren't clunking and they were fine. 🤦‍♂️ ordered new hardware to redo it. Taking it back just goes with modding cars, aftermarket parts require very detailed attention to install and probably easy to mess it up. Lots can go wrong. I'm not surprised but disappointed. Hopefully it will get resolved and I can finally enjoy driving it.

I had a clunk appear a few weeks after my install, but it was one of the lower control arm ball joints. I must not have torqued it properly.
Re-torqued and it's been fine since.
I have other clunks, but at this point I'm just assuming it's some other worn out piece... sway bar, control arm, etc

This place is a joke.
Congrats, you've ruined your E55.

I had the same issue on my wagon. The rear shocks needed a few washers to fill the small gap between the body and the mount. Clunk free so far.
