Can't get hose off the fuel filter need help

I just replaced the fuel pump in my 2011 E63 AMG, it came with the fuel pump and fuel filter. I can't remove the hose off the fuel filter. It slide over the top of a beveled plastic line that sticks straight up from the fuel filter housing. It's blue with a black end that fits over the beveled inlet. The black end has 2 small holes in it ( might have something to do with the removing process ) and I can't find how to remove this line so I can replace the fuel filter. Can someone please help me??

The connectors on the fuel pumps internal to the fuel tank of my E55 appear similar. Spring loaded "U"- shaped plastic clip. Try placing your thumb on the base of the "U" with fore finger on open end, squeeze, and lift.
The two small holes you see are the ends of the arms of the "U" clip.
Let us know.

Squeeze the clap really hard and pull. That connection is really tight due to the pressures that flow through there. Plus its been on for the past 11 years...
