E55 rear air spring options
Thinking I need to swap out my rear air springs soon. After about a week of no driving the rear end is extremely low, front end is perfect though.
Seems the go-to brand is Arnott since finding original Bilsteins seems to be impossible now. But from what I’ve seen, looks like the removal of the expansion tank with Arnott’s design causes the rear to become stiffer and not as comfortable. If anyone can confirm or deny this that would be helpful.
Assuming what I’ve heard is correct, after poking around I’ve found two possible alternatives that should (in theory) retain the same ride quality.
A) Get rebuilt OEM units from RMT Here
B) Get new Air spring+hose+tank from Miessler Automotive. Here
Can’t find any testimonials for the Miesslers on W211s, but some people who used them on GL’s seemed to like them.
Would love to here any input regarding any of the options.

Just installed a pair of Arnottt A-2725 rear air springs to replace the A-2556 pair I installed five years and 124,000 miles ago. Car has 224K miles on it....
Drop the comfort air tanks and go with sport 1 and sport 2.
Just follow the instructions in Xentry.

What is the difference between those two air springs?

I just did a complete front and rear suspension rebuild last year. And I can confirm, that after replacing my OEM Rear Air Springs and their reservoir with Arnott units, my ride feel hasn't become stiff or uncomfortable.
