Total it. Part it out. Scrap it. Electronics under the floorboard and in the door sills were/are wet and corrosion will cause all kinds of failures and intermittent issues downstream. Some of what went underwater:
-passenger side front SAM
-Airmatic module
-front pre-fuse block
-Transmission Control Module
-right CAN-B (X30/4) connector for the CANBUS
-left side CAN-C (X30/5) and CAN-B (X30/7) connectors for the CANBUS
-seat modules
-headlight range module
-SRS connectors and squibs for the seat belt crash tensioners
-yaw and lateral acceleration sensors
-right side crash sensor
-distronic module if your car is so equipped.

Not what you want to hear but, if me, I call the insurance company and let them total it. Would break my heart, but I'd do it.

The wiring harness will also need to be replaced, since the mud water travels through the cables, after entering through the connectors

I didnt have insurance as i hadnt been driving it for 6 months. Car has only done 32000kms and i have spent over 30k of mods so scrapping isnt an option. With further inspection car has only had water just up to the bottom of the seat where the electrics are water wasnt muddy. Water was only in there for no more than 16 hours, before i got the wet vac and dehumidifier in there . Im just trying to remove seats so i can take out carpet but i cant find a way to adjust them so i can access bolts as i dont want to power the car.

There are people that work on the flooded cars. I'd contact one of them and have them gut out the car and dry everything up
It would be shame to total a 16,000 miles car

You will have to power the motor itself to move the seat forward. 16 minutes, 16 hours , it’s not great. As long as it’s not salt water it’s probably fixable. Make sure to check the differential and trans, and drain the rack bellows, they may be holding water.

Just to clarify since I didn't update this thread. I ended up taking the seat bottom out, which you can do on the W212 at least by undoing a Torx bolt on a clip holding the seat bottom on each side at the front. Try to put your phone and take a photo or use a mirror to find it, it's one on each side, very easy to remove. It will still be attached by wiring which you can undo or cut and solder later if you're desperate and in a hurry.

The I tried putting power on the motor (the motor can be powered by a 12V car battery by putting the wires on the big metal things after you pull the connector, there are 4 in total of those electric prongs, 2 small and 2 big, I found that the big ones take the power). It didn't work, the motor was dead because of the water damage so I brought an identical motor I had at home, slipped the dead one off (don't unbolt the holder, just slip it off, the thing that turns slips in like an allen key and it's a flexible cable) and slipped the good one on. I used a 12V battery on the big prongs and it worked, to go the other way just reverse polarity (put the negative and positive opposite way).
