S211 E55 Wagon Rear SHOCKS
This thread is for shocks not the airsprings. My passenger rear shock is blown out. New from Mercedes without a discount they are about $975 a piece. The rear shocks are different between the sedan and wagon. The sedan has longer shocks that do not fit the wagon.
My question is whether there is a Bilstein replacement for the ADS shocks for the E55 wagon. There seems to be quite few vendors that have ADS Bilstein shocks for the wagon, but specify that they are for E500 wagons and do not mention the E55. Is there a difference between the E500 and E55 rear shocks?

I think I did a decent search. Lots of talk about air springs, not the shocks and the solution everyone comes up with is the OEM part numbers. I have been suggested to just get the e500 ads shocks, but I’m hesitant.
