I've seen a lot of pictures for a hood pin that looks very nice for the E55. I'm wondering (newbie question), is this the standard hood pin? Is it an official AMG hood pin that you can put on afterwards? Or is it someone else's fabrication and now people are selling various copies of it across the net?

If at all possible I'd like to get one of very good quality, but if it is a MB AMG blessed part, I'd like to get the proper one. Any recommendations on where to get it, and maybe a little history in reference to my questions above? Also, how easy is it to install myself?
