Parts for rear main seal
It’s regarding the 55 AMG
Been checking most of the threads I could find regarding the rear main seal, but is there a comprehensive list of whats needed?
Noticed a small leak on the plastic belly pan so I guess it’s the rear main leaking. Will get the car on a lift and take a look when I get back home, engine looked dry all over when I inspected from the top.
As I’ve understood it’s
Rear main seal
Rear main seal retainer
8x flywheel bolts
Transmission oil pump seal
Mercedes sealant
As I’m already pulling the transmission, I also included:
Shift linkage bushing
Flexdisc with new bolts
Driveshaft center support
The transmission 13 pin connector (pilot bushing?) was changed back in 2020, so I believe it will be okay and not need a swap for a new one.

He said that it's nothing major, as he has seen worse. He said lots of times when owners over fill the oil after an oil change, you will see this.
So, we just filled the oil to the right level, as we haven't seen much oil in the pan. But, I will tackle this in September. It's about a $1300 job.
I will also replace the flex disc, and the center support bearing if it has any play.
