Camshaft adjuster bolt question

Hey everyone,

New to the forum and would appreciate your help. While reassembling a camshaft adjuster in my 2008 E63, I managed to strip one of the 5 bolts that hold the whole thing together. Rookie mistake and now I'm wondering if I need to buy another used unit just to get the bolt. Has anyone else experiences something like this that forced you look for another bolt? I know places like 63Motorsports sell a set of those in Titanium for $180 or so but that's certainly an overkill in my case. Any suggestions or tips would be appreciated.

I would remove another bolt from the cam adjuster, and take that to a nut and bolt shop and located the correct part. Or try a machine shop, maybe they can make you another one. Worth a try

I would probably check the inner thread first, you might need to re thread for a bigger bolt size.
