E63 722.9 normal trans temp
Hey mb guys so I have a simple question, what is the normal fluid temp range for the 722.9 trans. Im asking b.c i feel my trans is running hot. Stop and go traffic will hit almost 100c. Thanks in advance everyone!

This is true, the only way to read the transmission temps is probably with a dedicated scanner or Mercedes Star Diagnostic Xentry computer.

I see thank you guys I appreciate your responses this is my first mercedes and while I work on them regularly I always have a scanner to read engine/trans live data. I assumed it was trans temp b.c it also displays gear position on the same screen

100c is appropriate for trans temp for the 722.9. I do not know what the optimal range is, but if the transmission temps run high, i believe someone may have mentioned the transmission goes into limp mode.
