Where to buy replacement steering rack?
Mine gave me about 120k but its time to swap. Are any of the remanufactured ones any good? OEM for $2k isnt happening, thats a 5th of the value of the car lol
Theres surprisingly too many options in the remanufactured space, lots are at reasonable prices. Rockauto has a remanufactured Bosch unit for 900 with 300 core return fee, $600 out of pocket all said and done. Is this a decent pathway forward?

Is there any other stuff I should replace "while im in there"? Rockauto recommends replacing the PS lines, easy enough.

In the trade Cardone is known as Car Done! Often their re-mans are nothing more than a light coat of black paint. The part may have a warranty but how about all the time and work to replace the same part with another ready to fail part. Bosch would be a big step in the right direction. Heck, BBB has a decent name, but I don't know anything about how well they are with racks.

Then another option or resource would be a junk yard where you pull off your own parts. Call around for a car with rear end damage.
