Trick to getting to Dynometer mode.
Last week the Car and Drive artical was posted on the SLK 350 and how to put it into Dyno mode. I tried it last week many time and it did not work. I took car to deal to have the Brake recall done and ask about any new flashes for the ECU? I was told yes there is a new flash.
I picked car up and found that I now have the DYNOmeter modes. SO if it does not work on your cars then go to dealer for the lastest flash. And get the brake recall done as well.

With new flash it is easy. ONCE again it did not work last week and not until I got the updated software from dealer. Maybe there for new 05 E55.
Key in possition #1 (first click to right) push your odometer reset button 3 times. then use the wheel arrows on left side and Arrrow up 2-3 times until you see Dynometer screen the use the right side arrows to arrow up to ON that is all. Start car. Then Dynometer screen stays there and can be turned off easily.

I tried it and car was not noticably fast? ABS is off. Traction control is off. and the prebraking when you lift foot off pedel fast is off.
What is the ride height of your cars in the 3 different settings? comfort mode, sport 1, and sport 2 modes?
My car in sport 2 modes I can fit 3 finger between wheel and fender. This never changes?? When I first got I know I could only fit 1 finger.

I noticed that the disable button just gave you a longer leash but still wasn't deactivated. Marcus was able to bypass traction control but putting it in dyno mode. Here are several threads about this. I tried the C and D recipe on my 05 and it worked without flashing the ECU.

Are you sure that you weren't iust spinning your tires? When I tried Dyno mode I had a severe problem with traction especially after shifting into 2nd. It felt slower because it was just shredding the Contis.

Getting in dyno mode is pretty easy, now try to get it in a hurry! Dyno mode is the only way you can do a real burnout before a run. But I have not found a way to get back out of it so I could see how ESP does with my mods in the 1/4.
