E55 Boost sensor(s)?
Arrrrg. Stealer said my boost sensor was not working. (Long story on how I got there for the first time) Anyway I bought a "Boost" sensor and decided since I was tearing it down I would replace the MAP and IAT sensor figured may be 250,000 on my 2003 E55 was enough for these little things.
My problem is WHERE is the "Boost" sensor located if even this car has one. The Utubes point to the Absolute pressure sensor as a boost absolute sensor so my searching for a "Boost" sensor usually goes to the MAP sensor.
I replaced the MAP sensor WITHOUT tearing most of the stuff shown in the Utubes. (Patience, masking tape, grind flats on a socket, open end wrench, you figure the rest) Things that would help from experience. Most helpful get your wife to do it (small hands maybe) then you could have a beer while you watch. A rag under the sensor. There is a big hole that goes way back under there that will eat the sensor, and or bolts, if (when) you drop them.
