Issue with Das

Issue with Das
For a very long time I am unable to link up with my TCU or do any transmission control test's....shifter, adaptations, actual values and so on. DAS will tell me "unable to initialize connection".
It will say "possible issues could be circuit 87" failure, wherever that is ...central gateway I thought but I would think if there was a circuit issue there would be transmission shifting issues.
I can get into everything else engine wise and do whatever I want but nothing with the transmission. Tried 4 different TCU's to no avail.
There are no issues with driving or anything else just no ability to link into TRANSMISSION with DAS.
I know some day I will need to link in LOL Any ideas ??
I would pop in a new gateway module, since it needs one anyway,but I have never programmed a module in this car before so I want to make sure I don't have an issue and learn the procedure before I start.

Could it be a loose connection between the DAS and the OBD2 connector? Maybe the TCU uses a pin that does not make proper contact? I know I have that issue on occasion with my DAS setup, if the connector is fully in, it will not communicate.

No it's connected correctly as I have tried MANY times. I believe it is the Central Gateway module as per the recommendation from my TCU tuner.
Just have to figure out the programming so I don't create other issues LOL

OK so now it's really interesting. It's my DAS system that will not communicate. I bought a new Central Gateway Module to reprogram and I couldnt get in. Then I tried everything Body wise and could not get into anything except engine parameters. So I linked up with my Icarsoft computer and was able to link to every single module. My DAS system may have crapped out and Im guessing the multiplexer is the issue. This sucks. Now I have to find one.

No I have not and have no idea how to do that. Also why would it just stop working since nothing has changed with the computer system at all.

It's complete with cables. So my buddy cleaned it up and it will for sure link in and do diag stuff and engine reprogramming,throttle body,cooling fan and such but does not link to transmission which is very strange. Now im wondering if it's the car it self. Who knows as it is an old C3 system and not very fast.

My setup too isn’t able to “reprogram” the Tranny, but it can seemingly monitor it while it’s in “Simulation mode” because I’ve done several Tranny Oil Changes where I’ve used DAS to measure Tranny Temp before installing the Oil Drain Bolt!
