Vibration roughness when shifting.
I recently changed my transmission fluid however the car just shifts quite harshly. It is rough/vibrates as it shifts. If I drive gently i.e. not a lot of acceleration It shifts a lot smoother. Wondering if this rings any bells for anyone.
Thanks

Might not be even related to the fluid change, but it can be.
First: Make sure you enough fluid is in the trans!
Second: You can always reset the trans adaptations. It will shift a bit harsh then but over time adapts to your driving style. Use a computer or the something like this method (see below)
Third: Trans mount (+ engine mounts) need replacement

So i ran the car for 20 minutes and then measured using the dipstick. I just dont know if I am measuring correctly, I remember putting in close to 4.7 quarts already when i first re-filled it after dropping the oil pan and filter. Am i measuring it right? Should i fill it till it hits the mid-point? When the engine is shut off I see that the liquid level is higher, noob question - this is this expected, right?
This is where it registers which is low, but if its standing for a while it registers even lower
This is how much sticks out.
When the engine is not running I see that the level is higher.

It's about right...can use a little more fluid.
Sounds like you have a converter chatter when it locks up. If it was a clutch pack you would get the MIL light on showing a fault but just guessing.
You really need to give a much more accurate definition of the problem ie: what gear, what speed,is it there when your to the floor with throttle.......

So the issue, which is almost like a shudder happens when shifting, and mostly under high throttle. I rarely feel it, if i am not accelerating hard.
fundamental question about transmission oil measurement - Do i measure after switching the engine off? because thats when i actually see the oil level even register.
