I've scanned the forums and there's not anything that suggests there's a thread for this. My impression is that there's going to be an E55 successor named the E65, with a 6.3 litre naturally aspirated engine. It may be a 4-valve direct injection engine like the new SLK. The direction of the car would also be like the SLK- much less boulevardier, more sports car. Because... if MB produces a 500+ hp NA, autocross capable supersedan, well, then... we're pretty much set, aren't we? =)

Here's a link to a previous thread about the E65. Supposedly the pictures are of a prototype, but I'm not taking that at face value. I guess we'll just have to wait and see...
