Hydraulic leak
My 2002 S55 AMG just been detected with a hydraulic leak. The mechanic says its quite hard to get to to fix it and will require almost 12 hours of labor. total cost nearly $3K still not guarantees other leaks may be found. Instead he suggested I look at cheaper alternative to install a standard Struts shock system and eliminate the hydraulic completely. Any suggestions on options and if someone has ever replaced hydraulic system with a standard replaceable shock and strut system? If so how much would it cost? where can i get parts, etc?
thanks,
