Drip Rails/Roof Rails

Does anyone know how to remove the drip/roof rail that runs from the top of the rear glass to the bottom of the front windsheild? I have some clear coat peeling and I was hoping to remove them and have them painted along with my side mirror covers.

@Rallyboy383 & @JT1982 Check out my thread here Meet the Speed Sled. I removed my roof rails in post #73 to have them painted along with my bumpers. I used a plastic interior trim removal tool to un-clip them. You'll see in my post where the clips are located in the recessed part of the roof. Just start prying beginning from the rear window end of the roof rail. It won't feel like it at first, but the clips will release with a little (or a lot) of encouragement.
The clips that hold the roof rail to the car will probably break (most of mine did when I removed my roof rails). The car has 10 of them total, 5 per side. They're cheap to replace, about $2.50 each. Get replacements before you re-install your roof rails. Mercedes part number for the clips is 0119889478.
Post before and after pictures when you're done! Good luck!
