I tried the w219 section but nobody ever replies there. Hoping someone can help me figure this out.


I’ve got a 2006 cls55 amg , purchased brand new oem tail lights from Europe. This is a Canadian spec cls55. Just in case that makes a difference.

Followed a guide posted that’s supposed to work.


you move the oem pins around, and add resistors and it apparently worked for others.

Everything works other then my passenger tail light.

shows as turn signal error on dash board , hyper flash on dash while tail light has slow turn signal light that’s intermittent.

Tried replacing both passenger side resistors, still doing the same thing.

did I possibly connect the 50w 6ohm resistors incorrectly ?

guide shows as needing 1 50w 6ohm resistor at the turn signal wire and 1 on the main lights.


Maybe I misunderstood or installed resistors incorrectly ?

You'll probably have better luck posting in W219 and CLS related Facebook groups. That's where all the traffic is at these days.

Hello, were you able to solve the problem? I will also install a LED tail light. Can you give me details on how to do it?

Wasn’t able to do it error free and had no real help anywhere getting a straight Answer.

im trying a second read Sam unit from the facelift cls63 and hopefully that gets rid of my errors

The attached document will help you. I will also make a module according to this guide and try it. I will share the results when it is finished.
