Thinking of buying 2009 Mercedes-Benz E-Class E 350 4MATIC Wagon
Accidentally posted this in the 212 forum, was told posting it in the 211 forum would Garner more thoughtful responses.
Hi,
Id appreciate any and all advice about this prospective car it has ~98k miles 4 owners. I took it for a drive and it seems incredibly pristine. The dealership has the service records from 2021 to the present.
Anything I should be on the lookout for?
I ran the MB.vin site and these are the engine and transmission serial numbers I could find. I was told that lower serial numbers might indicate issues:
Engine: 27297231118216
Transmission: 72267607602004
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Close, try posting in the main W211 section: https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w211-20/
Is this car for fun/weekends or a daily driver?
The M272 is known for gummed up intake manifold tumble flaps.
A 15 year old car is old by now, independent of mileage.
Spend some time reading through the W211 section for common repairs and decide if you can withstand their cost and time.
