First problem with my E55 wagon.
Hey guys.
A week ago I took my ‘04 E55 out from winter storage and drove it for the first time since buying it in February. It’s been driving great.
Until an hour ago today. I parked the car and ran an errand, when I came back and turned it on it started for a second and immediately died. Everything went dark and I had no power and no ignition. Opened the trunk and wiggled the plus cable, it sparked and suddenly everything worked again. Both plus and minus were tight and secure.
But now I had a strange sound coming from the engine, and when I popped the hood the water pump pulley was wobbling and making noise. I assume the water pump is bad and needs replacing.
How the hell are these two problems connected? The car has been running fine, but within 10 seconds both the water pump and some electrical problem suddenly appears? Has anyone seen something like this before?

Anyways, ordered a pump from FCPEuro yesterday. The shipping to Sweden was almost as much as the pump itself, but that lifetime warranty sounds delicious.
