2005 E55, 2010 ML350

3D Navigation

I saw on some posts some pictures of 3D navigation. All I see on my new car (have not had enough time to play with it) is a 2D map. Is this something only available for EU or Japan cars? Is there a mode switch I'm supposed to hit?

Not sure about the 2005-my 2004 only has 2D nav. I don't think it is any different for 2005.

My parent's 04 S55 has the 3D view option. But its a totally different headunit than the E's. It has a cool motorized screen to access the CD and Cassette slots.

3S view option IS available on the S-class, CL and SL DVD comands...these comands are manufactured by siemens...the W211 comands are manufactured by a different suplier and do NOT have 3D view.

Japanese comands are completely different...they already got DVD comands in their 203s in 2002 or 2003 for example...
